VILLA VEDBÆK

Villa Vedbæk is located north of Copenhagen, on a very quiet villa road and is a great old typical master mason villa that needed a 50 m2 extension. Build as one big living room, the extension offers extra space and accommodation for the family in the villa. We also did 2 new bathrooms in the existing house.

The extension is one large wooden construction, build onsite on screw foundations. The connection to the existing house we did as a hallway connecting the new living room and the old entrance hall. Having the new build extension slightly pulled away from the house created a well articulated space for a new entrance terrace and a new facade with great big windows facing the same great windows in the extension. The roof connection between the new and old became a more doable and aesthetically nice solution because of the hallway. The facades are made of black Super Wood and the terrace decks as heat-treated thermal pine.
