Nordicland is a major construction project of holiday homes in Øster Højby in Odsherred Municipality Denmark. Our vision is to be a local powerhouse for Odsherred, with an appeal that reaches internationally. Through architecture, unique solutions and experience offerings, memories of the area and a natural center for the diversity of Geopark Odsherred are created. The project is divided into FARMLAND and FORESTLAND.
The vision behind Nordicland arose when the two businessmen and brothers-in-law, Kåre Dyvekær (Sommerland Sjælland) and Lars Nybjerg (Nybjerg Erhverv), based on Kåre's project to expand Sommerland Sjælland, got together and formulated the idea for a larger "Cottage Village". They engaged the architectural firms Schou Birkendorf and Nova Tegra for the development.
Both Kåre and Lars have contributed to the development of the area through their local work for many years and are very persistent about the continued development of the area for everyone's benefit. In connection with the work behind it, Odsherred Municipality selected the area as the future expansion area for a cabin and camping project in the Local Plan.
Nordicland is not “just” a traditional cabin resort, but more like a healthy, natural, aesthetic, cozy and sustainable holiday park.
Here in the “cabin village” the feeling should be to live at one with nature. The trip to the parking lot, the kiosk, the community center, the playground and the observation tower or other of the holiday park’s options thus becomes an experience/journey in itself more than a practical proximity measure.
