Welcome to Nordicland
The sustainable holiday village and water park of the future.
In Odsherred - Denmark's largest holiday home area.
600 holiday cottages. 15,000 m² water park. One vision.
Nordicland will be Odsherred's largest holiday and experience center - in the middle of nature
With 600 sustainable holiday cottages and a gigantic indoor water park, we are creating a new year-round destination in the heart of Geopark Odsherred. A project that combines experiences, architecture and local roots - and that puts Odsherred on the world map.
Holidays, community and sustainability in the heart of Odsherred
The project unites nature, architecture and green technology in a year-round universe with high standards for sustainability and quality of life. The cabins are built as modular buildings in FSC-certified wood, with screw foundations and materials that enable DGNB Platinum/Diamond certification. The area is designed with community houses, playgrounds and green mobility - all integrated into a forest-like landscape, where community and privacy are naturally balanced.
Here, nature, community and green innovation come together in a whole, where both children and adults can find peace, play and presence in beautiful surroundings. The cabins vary in size from approx. 22 to 48 m² and upwards and are designed specifically for the project – with a focus on aesthetics, function and sustainability. They are produced indoors as finished modules in materials of the highest quality and with minimal environmental impact. The construction meets the strictest requirements and aims for DGNB Platinum/Diamond certification – far beyond the voluntary sustainability class. FSC-certified wood from sustainable forestry, natural wood fibre insulation and facades in charred wood according to the Japanese Shou Sugi Ban technique are used – a beautiful and almost maintenance-free solution, which was also used by the Vikings. The foundations are planned as screw foundations in 75% recycled steel, which significantly reduces the CO₂ footprint compared to traditional concrete solutions. This protects the landscape, preserves biodiversity and minimizes the need for terrain intervention.
A vibrant holiday area in harmony with nature
The area is designed as a green open space, where paths, planting and natural screening between the cabins create a forest-like atmosphere with privacy – without closing off community.
Community houses will accommodate functions such as a café, kiosk, information, laundry and possibly a nature education centre. The playgrounds will be built in the same sustainable materials and architectural style as the cabins. Small pavilions (domes) in each enclave create a setting for togetherness and cosiness – for children during the day and adults in the evening.
Access to the area will be organised with gentle solutions such as stabilised gravel and grass reinforcement. Electric charging stations, shared bikes and green mobility will be a natural part of the overall experience.
With Nordicland, we are writing a new chapter in holiday and leisure – with responsibility for both people and nature.
A strong team with a passion for development and sustainability
Nordicland is run by a multidisciplinary team with many years of experience in tourism, property development and sustainable solutions.
Together we work to create a destination where nature, architecture and green technology go hand in hand – with respect for both guests and local communities.
Nordicland is not “just” a traditional cabin resort, but more like a healthy, natural, aesthetic, cozy and sustainable holiday park.
Here in the “cabin village” the feeling should be to live at one with nature. The trip to the parking lot, the kiosk, the community center, the playground and the observation tower or other of the holiday park’s options thus becomes an experience/journey in itself more than a practical proximity measure.
